We received some adorable photos of Biscuit and Ghost, who were adopted together in June 2021. Their adoptive Dad had this to say about them: "They are doing really great! They feel right at home and are spoiled rotten!"
We received this spectacular "pupdate" about Chai (fka Gretel), who was adopted in February 2021. Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:
"We adopted Gretel and named her Chai. She was a very subdued shy tiny girl when we got her, and man has she grown into a fireball! She was maybe 15 pounds and is now closer to 25. We hope she gets to 45+ but we have no idea what she is mixed with. We would love to see how her brother Hansel has progressed? You can also see in the photos, her little ears in the ones of my boyfriend in the mask vs. her big perky straight ears she's had for a month now! We love her, thank you for asking."
We received this heartwarming "pupdate" about Lenny (fka as Georges), who was adopted from ARWOB in March 2021. Here is what his adoptive Dad has to say about him:
"Georges, now named Lenny, is doing extremely well, and is absolutely settled-in! It's hard to believe that we've only had him in our lives for 6 weeks, as he is absolutely the perfect pup for us. Our 14 year old Westie (Bohdi) unfortunately passed away in Feb, and we were just heartbroken. As a result, we weren't really sure when we would be emotionally ready to bring another dog home. We only knew that we wanted to adopt this time, and we were really surprised 6 weeks later when we realized we were just missing having that doggy energy in the house. A friend of mine in the adoption industry sent me a few dog postings, and Lenny was the first dog we saw and met. We have completely fallen in love with this little guy, and are just grateful and appreciative that we were selected to be Lenny's caretaker and companion.
My wife and I are both in our 50s, and I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 2 years ago. Lenny is absolutely keeping us moving with his energy, and having a pup in the house is exactly what we needed. We live in a gated community of 80 families, and Lenny has already become a favorite of the kids & adults alike. Everyone, including us, really wanted to know what his mix is, so we ordered a DNA kit, and just got the results. To our pleasant surprise, he is 60% Border Collie, 20% Shih Tzu, and 20% Brussels Griffon. Getting the results has really helped us understand and anticipate his traits, capabilities, and potential weight. He is now established with our Vet & groomer, they both adore him, he's healthy, and has gained about 4 lbs since we adopted him. We are putting him through training, and he's already learned basic commands like sit, and stay, and are enjoying that continuous process. Lenny absolutely loves walking & playing, and has endless energy & stamina. Learning he was a Border Collie mix made sense. I walk him twice early in the morning, I play with him for an hour, and take him for hikes in the afternoon. Since I have Parkinson's, he's truly been a godsend, as I am now much more active than I was. Thank you once again for selecting us to care for this beautiful boy."
Fred and Ginger were adopted together in March 2021. Here is what their adoptive Mom has to say about them:
"Fred and Ginger are doing great and we love them so much! We are so happy that we got to keep them together because they have such a strong bond to each other that I can't imagine them separated. They are gentle with the kids and have each learned a handful of commands, though we can't seem to keep them off of the couch. I don't think they've grown, at least not noticeably and though they seemed big at first, now they seem a good size and definitely don't seem big when we take them to the dog park and go into the "big dog" area! They are settling in nicely and I would definitely consider them a success story!"
We received this fantastic "pupdate" about Ollie (fka Gordo), who was adopted from ARWOB in November 2019. Here is what his mom has to say:
"He is named Ollie now, and he’s Mr. Personality and the most photogenic dog. His rescue name Gordo was a good name, though, because he’s overly food motivated and so a little chubby. We did a dog DNA test last year to answer ‘what is he?’ and then last month his MOTHER was identified because after she was rescued her owner used the same company. We follow each other on Instagram now. I will attach some pictures, including a side by side of him and his mom Maddie."
