Ivy (fka Apple Fritter) and Mortimer (fka Honeybun) were adopted together in December 2022. We received a lovely update from their new adoptive mom:
"They’re doing great! They have new names, Apple fritter is now Ivy (black and white) and honeybun is Mortimer (gray), Morty for short. They’re healthy, playful and sweet. They cuddle a lot with each other and always get the zoomies around 10pm before bed. Morty is huge and Ivy is petite, but she holds her own. It’s funny to see her chasing and pouncing on him. They don’t look like siblings except they have the same pretty green eyes. They love to watch birds out the windows and play with toys. We love them!"
Mila (fka Almond) was adopted in November 2022. We received a heartwarming "pupdate" from her adoptive mom. It sounds like Mila is living her best life with her new canine brother!
"We adore her! She constantly makes us laugh. My older dog has come back to life and is so much more active and plays with her. He was an only dog and he has a spring in his step now. Same for my mother. Definitely a never ending bundle of energy, I work with her sometimes between classes and she certainly looks to my other dog for guidance with what to and what not to do. Two of our cats even play with her. We call her Mila now, short for Milagra which means "Miracle."
Allie Mae had a difficult journey and we are extremely happy that she is doing SO well with her new family, who opened their hearts and their home to Allie in October 2022. She was originally named Tasmin and had been adopted from ARWOB as a kitten in 2015. Unfortunately, she was abandoned at a local San Diego shelter by her family. They said they were moving, but we discovered they abandoned her because she had bladder stones and was in dire need to veterinary care, which ARWOB immediately provided, including surgery. She made a full recovery and now she is living her best life with her new family! Here is what her adoptive mom has to say about her:
"We love Allie (we just call her Allie) so much! She is such a sweet cat! She settled in immediately. She is so comfortable and outgoing. She loves to sleep on my lap and sleep on the bed at night. I meal feed her twice a day and she gets pretty vocal. Her foster, Pam, had taught her how to give high fives. I plan on teaching her more soon as she is very food motivated. She loves to look out the window at the wild birds."
April was adopted in July 2022 and she just loves her feline brother! Her adoptive mom sent us these cute photos, which shows how much they adore each other!
Apple and Fig were adopted together in July 2022. They had both been rescued by ARWOB from the Devore shelter, along with 20 other kitties that were set to be euthanized because of lack of space. We just knew we had to help them and it paid off generously! They are very happy in their forever home and we received this wonderful update from their adoptive mom who is giving them the life they deserve. Here is what she has to say:
"They are doing really well - thanks for asking. They are now Nibbins (tuxie) and Cricket (tortie). Cricket is still very shy but Nibbins is a love bug. I don't think she will ever be very big, maybe as a result of being malnourished when younger. They both still eat as fast as they can, like the food will be taken away from them. They have brought our 11 year old deaf cat Ladybug out of her shell. They all play quite a bit, especially Nibbins and Cricket. They are very entertaining!"
