Hallie

Oreo (fka Hallie) was adopted in October 2023.  She is enjoying life with her new family!  We received this lovely "pupdate" and as you can see, she is living the good life.

"Hallie, or Oreo as we now call her, is doing well. She is really a sweet dog. She likes playing in the yard with her toys and going for walks to see dog friends. We like to take her hiking with us. She tries to play with our three indoor cats, but they aren't quite as excited as she is! :-) We did go to a dog trainer for a few sessions."

Shorty

Shorty was adopted in October 2023.  We received a fabulous "pupdate" from his adoptive family.  Boy did he win the jackpot!  Check out what he's been up to with his new family, including his feline sibling Bailey:

"Shorty is doing great! He finished his fundamentals training in December and we’re going to sign him up for the advanced training soon. He’s been a wonderful, happy little pup who is very affectionate and energetic. He has settled into his new home very nicely and has grown too (weighs just over 30 lbs). Most importantly, he’s become friends with our cat Bailey. We’ve taken him to the dog park in Poway several times and loves to play chase with the other dogs. He also loves going for walks to the lake. During our holiday break, we explored Julian, Liberty Station, Balboa and Coronado. His favorite was Coronado dog beach. He also joins us for other activities like going to lunch or coffee where he enjoys a pupaccino on occasion. We absolutely love and adore Shorty. We are so happy that he’s part of our family. Thank you to ARWOB for all the support during Shorty’s adoption process."

Lucy

Dottie (fka Lucy) was adopted in October 2023. She is enjoying her new family and gets to take long daily walks too!  Here is what her adoptive mom had to say:

"We just finished puppy training at PetSmart. She is now Dottie, and knows to sit, down and come. She has a friend 2 doors down that is 2 yrs old and they have play time weekly. No accidents in the house, but we are still working on jumping. We are very happy. We go for a lot of walks, average 4 miles most days. I had her DNA tested:  33% Chihuahua. LOL!"

Scout

Scout was adopted in October 2023. Her adoptive family sent this cute photo letting us know that she is doing well and gets along with her canine sibling Loke.

Billie

We received the sweetest “pupdate” about Mama Billie (mama to Pinky & The Brain ) who was adopted in October 2023. We could not be happier for her! The family met her during the October Mega Adoption event hosted by San Diego Animal Support Foundation and picked her up a week later once the process was finalized. Here is what her adoptive family had to say about Billie, who is now known as Millie:

“Just a big fat thank you for Billie, what a wonderful little girl. We sent your organization some gently used leashes and a couple of harnesses plus the ones you lent us when we took Billie home. She, is very smart, she is house trained, and comes tells me when she needs to go out. She now walks very well on a leash, and sits when I stop. She has learned a few hand signals, sit down, and loves our two cats. She loves chasing them until they have had enough, then she learns to back away real quick, normally running for one of our laps. She really loves her stuffed animal, and the winner...her balls. We did also take her to the veterinarian and came away with the same thing as your veterinarian, about two years old and very healthy, and on the last note....her hair is really growing and looking great. I gave her a bath the other day, she was really good. We can't thank you enough, she has made this a happy home. Thank you for...Billie....now known as Millie, a real sweetheart.”
