We received this spectacular "pupdate" about Maya (fka Ivy) who was adopted in November 2021. She had been with ARWOB for quite some time and now we know she was just waiting for her perfect family to find her! Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:
"Ivy (renamed Maya because it caused confusion when calling our other dog, Riley) has been doing amazing! She took to training super well; she is sooo smart. She is amazing on leash now and her and I take walks together most nights after work. She truly is the missing puzzle piece for our family of pets. Her and Riley (our larger dog) interact well, play a ton and groom one another/lay on each other. She is also very respectful of our older, smaller dog Molly. Maya is amazing with people, and will cuddle with strangers to get pets. All of our friends adore her and she was the star of our halloween party. Being a shepherd mix, she often makes funny sounds, like she's talking, and it cracks us up. We can't imagine life without her! She was fully grown and not underweight when we got her, so I would say she is about the same size. We do have her on pretty nutritional food (Acana grain-free) so she is healthy."
We received a nice update about Dusty (fka Pierre) and Suzy (fka Izzy), who were adopted as a pair from ARWOB in July 2021. Here is what their adoptive Dad has to say:
"They're doing great! Pierre and Izzy are now Dusty and Suzy (Stranger Things reference) and are having plenty of play time and luxurious amenities."
A beautiful update from our Facebook page:
"This is Cheddar (formerly Indigo), who was adopted as a kitten in August of 2013. I fell in love with him the moment I saw him and am eternally grateful to ARWOB for saving his life, as well as those of his mother and 5 siblings. Nothing makes Cheddar happier than receiving tummy rubs and he will plop himself spread eagle wherever he thinks someone will give him those rubs he adores!"
A wonderful update from our Facebook page about Tinka (fka Ivy):
"Tinka and Misha, adopted from ARWOB almost exactly two years ago. I fostered these sibling sisters at six weeks old, fell in love, and the rest is history!
Tinka is a true diva vocalist, singing to her humans to start the day and whenever she feels the spotlight needs to be on her. If cuddling were a sport, she would be a top contender."
Here is what Molly's (fka Itzy) family has to say about her: "I thought I'd send a happy update on my pup who I adopted from your rescue a few years ago. When we adopted her, her name was Itzy, but she is now known as Molly. We welcomed a baby boy on Christmas morning, and Molly couldn't be a better big sister. When I was pregnant, she would lie her head on my belly. Even when he was furiously kicking, she wouldn't budge. Everyone said it was clear she knew a baby was in there. Since he's been born, Molly never leaves his side. Whatever room he is in, she needs to be in there, too. Even when he goes to bed at 8, Molly will excuse herself from the living room and go lie down in the room with him. She is the greatest dog we could have ever welcomed into our family. I hope this update brings you some happiness!"
