Meet Cody and Polly!
UPDATE 6-15-21: Here is what Cody foster mom has to say:
"Cody is a rambunctious, kind hearted sweetheart that is very social. She loves other dogs and is very good with small children. Her favorite thing to do is to chase the hose and try to bite the water. Talk about a typical Labrador!! She would be the most loyal companion to any family that will love her and give her lots of attention."
ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:
These pups were born in Ensenada, Mexico. Their mother is owned by a neighbor of a local dog rescuer, who happened to receive a plea for help to place the pups in good homes. She offered to help since she volunteers for a rescue group. She was also able to get the mother dog spayed.
These pups will be large breed dogs that will likely reach the 55 pound range when full grown. We do not know anything about the father, but we are told the mother is a large breed (we are awaiting more information). They are very sweet dogs, but true to their breed, they are ACTIVE and will need an adopter that is ready for puppy training and house training.
Cody and Polly can meet potential adopters right away. If all goes well with their meet and greet, they can potentially go home that day. However, they will be sterilized in the 92104 area of San Diego on Monday, July 19, 2021. This means priority will given to local area applicants. This will ensure they are able to take the pups to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment and then pick them up at the end of the day after surgery. Please do NOT submit an application if you do not live in the San Diego area. If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until their sterilization surgery has been completed to see if they are still available at that time (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues).
If you are interested in fostering or adopting one of these cuties, please complete an online application at www.arwob.org. Don’t wait!
