Meet Toby!
As of 11/15/24 Toby is now 38 pounds and just under 9 months. A handsome super mutt who was rescued from the streets of Ensenada Mexico when he was a little under 20 pounds. Toby is fully vetted and a healthy sturdy dude. He is currently fostered in the PB area of San Diego with his foster dad who is a young working adult renting a home with a yard and has multiple roomates. Toby has been fostered for a couple of months and is doing fantastic! His foster dad has provided a home environment incorporating a routine for crate training and basic manners. He is crate trained, house trained and potty trained. He goes on daily walks and LOVES car rides and occassional outtings to socialize with friends both humans and doggos alike.
Toby has stayed off and on at casa de ARWOB and is always a great roomate! He is great with ALL humans he meets both males/females and of course children. He is great with cats and is VERY excited to play with dog friends. Toby does not yet have much respect for 'personal space" with other dogs so a dog who is NOT fond of dogs in their face when they first meet may not be the best match with Toby but if you have a dog who very much enjoys playtime, Toby is always ready to be friends. Toby loves his toys and any chew toys like benabones. He is not a ''barky/yappy' dog but will absolutely warn you when there is something going on and his voice means business, this sweet handsome dude can sound like a rugged I mean business dude (ha ha) example - gardeners next door close to our property line...so if you want to adopt a people social dog who can also sound the alarm this guy is your dude! The ideal adopter for Toby would be looking for a dog to have as a partner to take on outtings either to social or excercise and someone interested in singining up for basic 101 dog training especially if interested in enjoying a great life with a well behaved dog who an go to dog parks and continue to be a social well rounded dog.
