To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

UPDATE 5-22-21: Here is what Kalua’s foster family has to say:

“Kalua (wearing orange collar) is such a mild tempered sweet spirited little boy. He has the most beautiful puppy dog eyes when he wants you to pet him. You can’t resist his sweet face! He loves to explore and wrestle with his brother and sister, of course. Kalua is great with small children and other dogs. He loves everyone he meets.”

MORE INFO ABOUT THE TRIO OF SIBLINGS:

Kona, Kalua, and Brandy (a sibling trio) are just adorable and they all look alike! We believe they are a Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix and will likely reach 50 pounds when full grown. However, their range may be 45-65 pounds when they finish growing.

These pups can meet potential adopters right away. If all goes well with their meet and greet, they can potentially go home that day. However, the pups will be sterilized in the 92104 area of San Diego on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. This means priority will given to local area applicants. This will ensure they are able to take them to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment and then pick them up at the end of the day after surgery. Please do NOT submit an application if you do not live in the San Diego area. If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until their sterilization surgery has been completed to see if he is still available at that time (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues).
