To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Onion!

This beautiful girl is fostered in a home with adults and an adult female cat, but like all young kittens, we know she will adjust easily to a home with other pets, like dogs. She is a social, loving, and active kitten so she should also do well with kids.

Foster Update 5/21:

Onion is the cuddliest cat ever, loves to crawl into laps, and take a nap. She is also very self sufficient and keeps herself busy playing with little toy mice on the ground. She loves playing with our other cat's tail and jumping on her back from the couch, as well as taking naps together. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her!

Would you like to meet and possibly adopt this cutie?

First, submit a cat adoption application online for review.
A volunteer will call you to finish processing your application and, if approved to adopt, we can schedule an actual meet and greet to interact with Onion at our cat adoption center located at the PetSmart in Clairemont where the foster parent will bring her for you to meet.

Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application. Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings. IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.

Ideally, she will be adopted along with another kitten or Arwob teen or adult. Applicants could mix and match a friend to adopt together, BUT the important factor to adopt kittens is that kittens are adopted either with a sibling, a friend, or into a home with other feline friends because kittens are very cat oriented and can get lonely.
