Meet Ernie!
Ernie and Bert are 2 adorable brothers who came to arwob as stray flea infested kittens and went to a foster home who has an adult male cat and a small breed dog. Their foster family had this to say:
Ernie can be found stalking his brother or lying on his back in anticipation of a belly rub. He is full of spirit, and loves attention. Ernie typically likes to say hi by bringing you his favorite toy or licking your hair if in bed. He used to be a bit shy but he has come around BIG TIME. He is very loving and we hope they can find a forever home soon!
Ernie and bert are now at our adoption centers and as of late july Bert was adopted, which means Ernie is still looking for his forever family. If you have another cat at home or cat friendly dog, Ernie would love a friend. If not, perhaps consider another kitty to keep him company. Volunteers report Ernie was a bit shy during his initial arrival, likely because of the change in environment he was very scared of the transfer and new change BUT since bert was adopted he is seeking a lot more attention from volunteers and seeking petting and to be loved on. Very sweet boy!
ARWOB prefers to adopt kittens under 6 months of age to families who have other feline family members or planning on adopting 2 cats together. 2 kittens from the same litter or 'mix and match' with other of the ARWOB kittens. Thinking outside the box, adopting an adult cat and a kitten together would help the forgotten adult kittens while also enjoying the VERY short time frame a kitten will stay small. Remember kittens will reach full size within 10 months of age, kittens are no
t just a NOW adoption but a LIFETIME adoption which is a 10-20 year commitment.
