Meet Bert & Ernie!
ARWOB prefers to adopt kittens under 6 months of age to families who have other feline family members or planning on adopting 2 cats together. 2 kittens from the same litter or 'mix and match' with other of the ARWOB kittens. Thinking outside the box, adopting an adult cat and a kitten together would help the forgotten adult kittens while also enjoying the VERY short time frame a kitten will stay small. Remember kittens will reach full size within 10 months of age, kittens are not just a NOW adoption, but a LIFETIME adoption which is a 10-20 year commitment.
These 2 adorable funny boys are bonded brothers and ideally adopted together, although we could consider separating them if there was a home with other cats or adopted with another kitten.
The boys are fostered in a home with another adult cat and dog and are good friends with the kitty and ok around the dog. They can be a bit timid but have human trust and seek companionship to sleep with the foster family and seek attention and play time.
Foster family has renamed them Bigger boy Ernie (Phoenix) and samller guy Bert (Dakota)
1) Phoenix is an eccentric kitten with an attitude as distinct as his markings. When he’s not demanding wet food, he can be found stalking his brother or lying on his back in anticipation of a belly rub. He is full of spirit, and often shakes with excitement when he is given attention. If you forget to say hi to him every ten minutes, do not worry. He’ll let you know he’s there by grooming your hair, licking your fingers, or bringing you his favorite toy.
2) Dakota is a subtle and sensitive kitten. He appreciates a quiet, serene environment in which he can reflect on his day and daydream about his next adventure. When playing, he prefers to follow the lead of his brother; they tumble around for hours before settling down for a nap in the sun. Dakota likes to end the night by watching TV in bed, cuddled up with his human and his brother
