Felipe was adopted in January 2021 and we received this great progress report from his new adoptive family:
"Felipe, is doing great and growing fast! He has integrated well in the family, and is mellowing out a bit. Initially he was scratching quite a bit but since he had his flea/tick dose it appeared to be just itchy puppy skin. We gave him a moisturizing bath and have been adding coconut oil to his food and his itching has gone away almost entirely and skin / coat is so soft. We believe this condition added to his anxiety/irritability. The family (including Felipe) had our first session with Randy Davis (behavorialist) today and he was very pleased and noted no behavioral (just puppy) issues and taught us how to work with the 'mouthy' behavior and respect food/space. He tried to get him to act irritated but was unsuccessful, which he viewed as a very good sign. He indicated that he would love to work with Felipe and noted he was very bright. We will be meeting with him again in 3 weeks."
We received another great progress report for Felipe, who was adopted from ARWOB in January 2021. Here is what his family has to say about him:
"He found his favorite spot on the deck in the sun and warm concrete. His second favorite spot to chill is on the couch, usually snuggled up to one of us. He has not had any accidents in the house a couple of weeks and sleeps all night quietly in his crate. We have our second training with behaviorist coming up. He recommended every 3-4 weeks. Felipe still has moments when he gets strong willed and determined (not always in a positive way), but we can usually get him out of that space but will continue to train in this area. He can sit and lay on command and even wait (though sometimes he starts to drool) to get command before he eats his food. He is loved much and blended well into the family."
