Hecate

We received a sweet update about Zucchini (fka Hecate), who was adopted from ARWOB in June 2020. Her adoptive mom has told us that Zucchini and her canine sibling are BFFs!

"We adopted Hecate and her name is now Zucchini. She is so loved! Her best friend is a 90 lb Lab/Shepherd mix."

Harper

We received a lovely "pupdate" about Katara (fka Harper), who was adopted from ARWOB in May 2020. This wonderful family had also adopted Finnegan the kitty from us back in September 2014. Repeat adopters are awesome!  Here is what their adoptive Dad had to say:

"My fiancé and I adopted Harper (we renamed her Katara). Katara is doing great! She’s grown to a small/medium sized dog weighing in at 38lbs which is perfect for our current living arrangements. Despite her small stature, she is pretty strong and a loyal little protector. She’s also a little sweetheart! She gets along great with our cat, Finnegan (also adopted from ARWOB in Sept of 2014) and even if he pretends not to like her, we have caught them snuggling together a number of times. Due to the restrictions throughout the shutdown, we were not able to get her any professional or coached training. However, I was working from home and spent a lot of time teaching her basic commands and house manners. Considering she had such informal training and socialization, she behaves very well and gets along great with other dogs. My fiancé has been working at a dog groomer’s for the last few months and Katara gets to go along and hang with the other shop dogs as well as their clients' dogs. They’re kind of their own little pack (LOL). Thanks for reaching out and more importantly thanks for doing the incredible work that you do!"

Holmes

We received this spectacular "pupdate" about Finn (fka Holmes), who was adopted from ARWOB in March 2020.  Here is what his adoptive Dad had to say:

"Holmes is now Finn, and is a happy dog! He loves running at the park, playing chase, going for boat rides, and going to dog beach. Could not have asked for a better pup!"

Halley

Phoebe (fka Halley) was adopted from ARWOB in March 2020.  We received this adorable "pupdate" from her adoptive family:

"This is Phoebe, previously known as Halley! She is a sweet and comical baby who will follow you around and never likes to be the first to go to bed. If you are up, she is up for as long as you are. I also had to include a blurry photo of her playing with a ball because fetch is her favorite game and always has been. Does not matter if she just went on a walk, she will keep playing for as long as you keep throwing. I have also learned that though she can be a bit timid with new people, she has yet to turn down a game of fetch from anyone. I have made sure to use that to my advantage when introducing her to new people. Not to forget that she will do anything for you when she hears the word “cookie.”  I am happy to say she has made our house feel a lot less empty, and is very loved by my family."

Harry

Scrappy (fka Harry), was adopted from ARWOB in March 2020. His adoptive family shared this awesome "pupdate" about him!

"Scrappy (formerly known as Harry) is the absolute best. We are so in love, and so is everyone who meets him! Our vet said the entire office wants to adopt him from us. I had to tell her to bring him back out to me before he was kidnapped. Since rescuing Scrappy, we adopted two more husky/shepherd mix puppies. They are his newest best friends and he plays with his sisters non stop. They run wild in our backyard, leaving no spot untouched by their fast moving paws. Scrappy has the best disposition. I've never had a pup like him, and we are so thankful we are his family now. Thank you for picking us and trusting us with rescuing him."
