Update from Gaby's mom, 9/12/10: "We have moved to a new house. Gabby is so healthy and fluffy. She is our spoiled rotten princess. We had a carpenter convert an old pantry into a custom "mouse house" with granite counter tops just for her! She sleeps with the doggies and with me and is the best thing under 10lbs that has happened to this family. Oh we LOVE her. " Gaby's new mom has happy news to report about Gaby's new and happy life: Gabby Truffles is doing wonderfully and she is the boss of the pack....she truly runs the show. She actually steals the boys toys and lays on their beds and they will lay there and cry for me to make her get up. It is hilarious! We have a sock with two tennis balls inside of them that I use for physical therapy on my back and Gabby can pick up the whole sock and she carries it around and snuggles it like it is her baby. She is the most hilarious cat ever. And she is really getting well trained. Crazy cat jumped in the pool the other day and swam back out. She is an absolute nut! We got her a new kitty house that she adores and I could not imagine life before she was with us. I attached a photo just to keep you guys updated. Thank you again for our sweet sweet girl. She was the missing piece in our family and gives us so much love and fun and laughter. She could not be a more perfect cat and she matched perfectly with our family! Wish you and all of your babies the best!!
"Thought you would like an updated pic of Gizzy (Gizmo). She has helped Lily so much. They are now best buddies. We just love them both so much. Giz is still the playful kitten into everything…but it is so much fun to play with her and watch her. Thank you for raising Giz to be such a great cat." Happy New Year, Sherry and Jesse Wacht
Gator, now Jasper, is also living is dream with his two new companions, miss little princess, the dog, and Jenga, one of our other rescues who is formally known as Bobby!
"Hi, We have had a wonderful first week with Goldy. Buzz named her “Lillian Russell” but I submitted “Lily." Goldy has completely morphed into our family and our daily routine. The cats are slightly wary of her during her morning rambunctious time when she and Zorro chase around the main floor, but other than that are walking by her and moving around very comfortably. She listens very well and learns very fast. I can tell her something once or twice and she understands and responds accordingly. We really cannot believe how seamless her adoption has been. I credit all of you with her success. One thing all the animals in my house have to realize is there are a lot of them and only one mom. I use the “one minute” command and put my index finger up when I say it so they know I will get to them as soon as I can. As long as a routine is in place and they know where they are in the order of care, they are fine. Goldy figured that out almost immediately and is very comfortable getting a toy and going to a bed to wait for me. She does have the benefit of watching Zorro, but I also think that when they are in a good foster care with other animals they must learn this. Thank you and Allison and Lety for everything you have done to make this adoption possible for us. You cannot believe the comfort and joy she has brought to us after losing our dog, Anne. Zorro is extremely devoted to her also.
We have heard from Gracie's parents and here's what they have to report: "We would like to let you know that Gracie is in perfect health condition. She plays with everything, fetch her preferred toy, and she is a perfect alarm clock in the morning . Gracie is doing great-very healthy and active! I would love to get a little friend for Gracie but Alessio prefers not-also the landlord might not like that...so for now just one :-)
