Foster a Rescue

Fostering is
  FREE and FUN!

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Gunnar

Matthew and his brother Gunnar were adopted together by one of ARWOB's lovely volunteers back in August 2020. She had already adopted two brothers from ARWOB named Bernie and Beast back in 2017, after they had been relinquished back to ARWOB by their original adopter after 7 years! When Bernie crossed the Rainbow Bridge, she decided to foster Matthew and Gunnar, who were very skittish little kittens in the beginning. Thankfully they have blossomed and their foster mom decided to "foster fail" and adopt them permanently, so that Beast would have some companionship. They are a happy little family and we are very pleased!

Gordita

We received a very nice "pupdate" about Zorina (fka Gordita), who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020. What a fantastic way to start the new year!

"Gordita is now Zorina, aka “Zora.” She has settled into her new life rather comfortably! We were still very sad from the loss of a previous fur baby, and within a few days of coming into our home, Zora brought the sunshine back into our lives. On her own terms she has become the nucleus of our family. Zora enjoys doing EVERYTHING… well except for taking baths. She loves her family so whole heartedly, and we all love her the same. She enjoys going to the beach, Fiesta Island, walking around the mall, going shopping, riding in “her” car, opening presents, taking her mom and dad for walks, visiting her fur cousins… She also goes to the dog park almost daily and is VERY popular with both the furry kids and the humans. We used to be people who didn’t allow the doggies on the couch… well, Zorina has decided that is not a very good rule. She also has a king size bed which WE are so grateful that she shares with us every night. I know this quote that goes “dogs are not our whole lives, but the make our lives whole.” I find this to be quite fitting for this wonderful, fantastic little girl."

Gus

Gus was adopted from ARWOB in March 2020.  We recently received a very nice update from his adoptive mom, who likes to take him for walks with a harness and a leash!

"Little Man Gus, also known as Notorious LMG or Labracat, was born in Ensenada, Mexico in October 2019. He left his punky, street kitten life in February 2020 and emigrated to the U.S, settling with his mom and dad and doggy sister, Izzy in San Diego, CA. He is a professional napper and eater whose hobbies include taking walks with mom and Izzy, bird watching, lizard hunting, begging, eating vegetables, playing soccer with things left on the floor and trying to get big sis Izzy to play with him. LMG is just had his first birthday and now prefers the name Big Boy Gus."

George

George has made himself right at home with his new Dad.  We received this cute update. heart
