Saint was adopted in July 2022 by a family that has adopted several kitties from ARWOB over the years. In fact, Saint is the eighth ARWOB kitty to join their family. Talk about winning the jackpot! Here is what they have to say about Saint joining the crew:
"Adopting Saint was one of the best things we have done. He is such a love and a lot of fun. He gets along with our other cats….more than get along. He plays with them and keeps them active. They are friends and playmates. We are really happy that he was almost a year old when we adopted him, not only did we know what his personality is, he plays actively with our older cats. He is a very loving cat who loves to cuddle. We love him very much."
We received a fabulous "pupdate" about Kailua (fka Shamrock). He was adopted from ARWOB in April 2022 and he's doing very well with his new family. In fact, he also has been spending time with his ARWOB siblings! Here is what his adoptive mom has to say:
"Thanks for checking in! He's doing fantastic :) We've renamed him Kailua, and call him Kai. We've not done any formal training with him, but he's a really smart pup and easily picks up new tricks. We're still growing his confidence in living in a big city environment, with loud trucks and buses a regular occurrence on walks. He is a huge cuddle bug and absolutely loves other dogs. He really enjoys our weekend trips to dog beach. Recently, we also got together with his brothers and their new families! We can't thank you enough for taking such great care of him in his first few months. He's been an incredible addition to our family."
We received a nice update about Buttercup (fka Sammy) who was adopted in March 2022, along with another ARWOB kitty named Bubbles. Here is what her adoptive mom has to say: "We changed her name to Buttercup (kids picked it) and she is doing really good. Buttercup was a little shy when she first came home but with the help of her new sister Bubbles (another ARWOB foster) she has become a new kitty. Buttercup and Bubbles are the best of friends and zoom around chasing each other during the day."
We received a sweet update about Sunny, who was adopted in March 2022. His story is unique because he had been adopted from ARWOB as a kitten in 2015 along with his sibling. Unfortunately, his family relinquished both of the boys as adults in 2021. Thankfully the Humane Society contacted us upon taking them in and ARWOB quickly took them back into our care. They were very frightened at first, but we were able to help them both feel confident again so that they could eventually find their perfect forever home. Sunny was fostered for a month and it was obviously a match made in heaven. His new adoptive mom is so happy to have him and this is what she had to say:
"Sunny is doing really well! He's been getting more and more playful as he gets more comfortable, which is very cute. My roommates and I are really enjoying his company."
Sweets (now known as Cinders) came to ARWOB from the streets of Mexico, along with her 4 kittens. The kittens found their forever homes right away, but Sweets waited patiently for nearly 9 months to find her forever family. She was adopted in February 2022 and her new mom has provided a lovely update about her:
"We LOVE our black kitty Sweets, now called Cinders. She is absolutely adorable, fun, vocal and the most friendly kitty. We waited a few years to adopt after our last black cat Kittyman had to be put to sleep at 18.5 years old due to kidney disease (and 8 years of subcutaneous hydrations). I was not sure I could ever love another cat as much as I had loved Kittyman. Cinders was well worth the wait though, and my husband and I could not love her more! We are so grateful ARWOB found her and fostered her all these months. It just breaks our heart to think that last year Cinders was a Mexican street cat with 4 kitties. She is doing quite well although she did have a health problem that we fixed, but all is good now thanks to our long time vet. We appreciate that foster Alondra has been very helpful and responsive in giving us Sweets' medical history and had good recommendations as well. Thanks to Sidney too who was very helpful during the interview process. Here is a recent photo of Cinders/Sweets. As you can see, Cinders is certainly relaxed and is Queen of the House!"
