Moose (fka Antena) was adopted in May 2024. Her adoptive family is so in love with her and provided this awesome update. She sure won the jackpot!
"Moose (formerly known as Antena) is doing great! She’s such a smart pup and has really come a long way since we first adopted her. She absolutely loves the dog park where we take her frequently, she loves alllll the toys, loves walks and hikes, and loves to cuddle! We haven’t put her in formal training yet but have done a lot of training with her ourselves. She has learned many new commands and we are working on breaking her separation anxiety. It’s exciting to see how much progress we’ve made over these last two months, and I can’t wait to see how much more progress we make in the future. She’s completely come out of her shell and continues to surprise us in funny ways. We are head over heels in love and so excited to call her ours. She also gets all the compliments from people, they talk about what a good dog she is. We are lucky and blessed to have her, and feel like she is lucky and blessed to have us too. Thanks for checking in!"
Vixey (fka Amelia) was adopted in February 2024. Here is what her adoptive dad has to say about her. She's really enjoying her new life with her forever family!
"We renamed Amelia and her new name is Vixey; this is because she reminds us of a small red fox. In any case, she responds really well to her new name since we started calling her this soon after we adopted her. We have not done any formal dog training other than the training we've done on our other dogs. So far, she is doing extremely well. Vixey is very bonded to me and wants to be with me always, which I love. I am quick to nip any possessive behavior she shows sometimes and she responds well to the corrections. We do crate train her and she has done well with that. We also try to socialize her more often at parks and around people just so that she keeps liking everyone. She does not care much for other dogs but she still occasionally plays with our other dogs at home. We are very happy with Vixey. I am especially happy that we found each other."
Asher (fka Archer) was adopted in December 2023. He is living his best life with his feline and canine siblings! Here is what his adoptive mom has to say about him:
"Thank you for reaching out! Archer has been renamed to Asher (meaning happiness) and he is truly living up to that name! He is a talkative, playful, and is a very easy going little kitty! He purrs immediately when you pet him and is settling in well with the other fur babies. Asher and our other cat, Tux, have a fun time playing, but Tux is still adjusting to having a brother at times. Our dog, Boone, and Asher are getting along well too!"
Abby was adopted in September 2023 and she is very happy in her new home. Her adoptive dad shared this "pupdate" with us:
"Abby is doing great. We did not do the training because she is a perfect girl on the leash and off (at fiesta island). It took about a week for her to fully open up to us and show her playful side. Her and her new brother are getting along just fine they like to chase balls together. We find it hard to believe she was abandoned. She is sweet and playful and a great listener. Thank you all for rescuing her so she could be in our family!!!"
Ashley and her sister Marie were adopted together in November 2021. They joined a loving family, who had adopted an ARWOB pup named Rico in 2017. Recently, they adopted another ARWOB pup named Vincent in April 2023. It's SO wonderful when a loving family returns to ARWOB to adopt their next furry friend! They all are living their best life! Their adoptive mom shared this update about the kitty girls:
"We initially applied to adopt Marie ( Siamese) but couldn’t say no to her sister Ashley ( tabby). Ashley rules the roost here. She is afraid of no one. She plays fetch and is my husband’s favorite. She is sassy like she is pretty. Marie keeps to herself and is a textbook cat. Allows petting until she’s done. Cuddles when she wants. Loves her sis to the max."
