Meet sweet Jerry!

Jerry has such a sweet and gentle manner about him. he is great in his environment and the home he knows. Going out and meeting new people is still new to him, but getting so much better and trusting. He is sweet, loving, gentle and fun!

We are looking for a foster home for him in San Diego or an adoptive family.

HOWEVER, Jerry has issues with recall. He is still scared of people and he does run away or just run around.
For example, it can be hard to grab him in a yard, so a home or apt evnrionment is best so he has a small area where he can learn to trust people and come when called. Other than his distrist of people and not really coming near them, he is GREAT! He loves to be part of a 'pack' and he is a submissive personality and learns and follows others.

He has a very silly goofy personality; he thinks everything is great and fun, which can be a problem when trying to learn recall. We would LOVE help with him and a foster family who can help him trust and learn.....OR an adoptive family who would like to be with him through this stage in his life and help him be happy while they do a foster to adopt trial to make sure he comes around.
Please, submit a dog adoption or foster application online to meet him, Today!

He is neutered and UTD on medical, here is some information about him:

Rescue:
A good samaritan has been monitoring Jerry since his birth.  He was very untrusty of humans so it took a lot of perseverance to gain his trust to be able to move him into a foster home.  He was reported as a stray dog and part of a litter in the outskirts of town near a ranch.

Temperament:
A sweet, sweet dog.  He is happy a bit shy at the beginning but warms up quickly.  He is learning to walk on a leash and travels very good and no crate necessary although he did get car sick at first.  He gets along well with other dogs, cats and is house trained.
