To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Will, the father of Hope and part of the 'Operation Freedom' group of rescues. He was taken in by the employer of the husband of the woman hoarding the group of dogs. Will had been with this person for one and a half years. Will has been described as somewhat submissive and shy but very calm.

His current foster mom has this information to share about this sweet boy:

"He is a little needy. He is fantastic in the car and still pulls on the leash, but is showing steady improvement. He likes to mouth when he plays with me but doesn't bite down of course. He loves to chase the cat. The cat doesn't like it!

He’ll bark if another dog is barking, or if he wants food. I give him a toy or bully stick and he calms right down . Right now, he’s laying next to my office chair on his blanket, not barking, although I know he wants food. He always wants food. VERY food aggressive, but not surprising given his previous circumstances!

BTW, Will just finished his first “housebreaking” test. I left him alone in the house (with access to the yard) for one hour with no accidents. He’ll be tethered close to me most of the rest of the day."
