To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Fawn is now looking for a home now that she has nursed her little newborns into 2-month-old puppies! Here are some notes from her foster mommy:

She is good with other dogs now that she has settled down, feels safe and doesn't feel the need anymore to be protective with the kiddos: she is coming indoors with my 3 dogs, and there hasn't been any issue with my 3 resident dogs (beagle, Sheppard mix and Chi mix).

When it comes to cats, she has a bit of prey drive especially with a skittish kitty. Latte is Mr. Cool and things went smoothly there, but Muffin is a complete "run, Chicken Little, run" type and she really seems to enjoy running after him, her back hair raised when he defends himself from the corner she backed him into. Personally, I would not trust her alone with cats....

With humans, she is a really sweet girl and a cuddle bug. She is house broken: not a single accident inside. No excessive barking either (just the regular dog alert bark when there are unfamiliar noises).

From the week she spent with us inside, I spotted 2 quirks:
- she tends to "help herself" with food left within her reach (counters, tables) if you are out of sight
- she tries to jump on the couch uninvited, though after a few attempts where she was told to go back on the doggie bed she no longer hops there but only tries to plead for permission to do so
