Who is Bella? Well, she is an AMAZING dog that's who!
She is great around people, children, and even cats! She is crate trained, travels well in a car, and she loves dog parks! She is also the perfect exercising companion! However, she is also easy going. Bella is just fine while being left alone for an 8 hour work shift just as long as she gets to socialize and explore before and after. She entertains herself very well. She is not destructive nor a barker, but she will warn off danger with a big, scary bark. Otherwise, she is fairly quiet. She loves her food and toys but doesn't destroy them. She loves to play tug of war! Bella has always been fostered in dog homes with multiple dogs. She has been with between 4-6 other small and large dogs of all ages as well as cats and teenagers. She is a great looking dog and is full grown, so she has the right size for an apartment or home setting.
She pulls on her leash but with the right training and leash/collar, that could improve. Sometimes she can be nervous around certain dogs at first approach, but once they socialize and sniff each other a bit, she tries to initiate a play time!
The ideal adopter for Bella would have a home or an apartment. Cat owners are more than welcome (kitty owners should take advantage since this girl is very good around them!) or she would do just as well as the only fur child. She would be perfect for active adopters who enjoy runs, hikes, dog parks, and travel. Someone who can help her with leash training would be great! If you work full-time, she would wait patiently while you return!

Bella would do best in a home with no other dogs because recently she initiated a scruffle with one of the foster parents dogs (who is the alpha dog in that house hold). We think Bella would like to be the alpha dog in a multipe dog environment after she has confidently settled in. She will never try to be alpha at dog parks or during play dates with other dogs, only when she has been in the same situation for a long time.
Call or email us if you would like to meet her and we welcome you to foster her first before adopting her to make sure she is the right dog for you.
Call to meet her and file an adoption application online, as of 12-21-11 she is 45 pounds of pure love!
If you would like to adopt or foster Bella, please file an application online. Thank you! www.ARWOB.org
