To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Mackenzie is a 1 year old, spayed, Australian Cattle Dog and Pit Bull blend. This girl truly has it all! She is beyond cute, VERY sweet and affectionate and loves to run and play! Mackenzie is loaded with energy and loves to play fetch, but she is equally as happy cuddling with you and falling asleep in your arms (literally). She is also very curious and intelligent and follows commands and when she looks into your eyes, you know she is very eager to please. Mackenzie needs some training on the leash, but seems to get along with her fellow dog and cat friends, although an interaction with other pets would be required. Mackenzie is still very young and puppy-like and may get into some mischief, so patience from her new foster or forever parent(s) will be needed.  She seems to be protective and a good watch dog and she is housetrained as well.  Mackenzie would perfect for a single person, couple or family in a single family home, townhouse, condo or apartment.  Please make Mackenzie your new best friend and give her the foster or forever home she deserves!

Mackenzie was rescued from the San Diego County Shelter North Campus and needs to find a foster or permanent adoptive home ASAP! If you are interested in fostering or adopting Mackenzie or have any questions, please email or call Allison at adopt.shelter.dogs.only@gmail.com or 760.201.9359.
Mackenzie’s small adoption fee includes the cost of surgical sterilization, vaccinations, microchip, new collar and leash.
