To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Meet Ray!

A little about Ray. she is a great small to medium size at mid 30 pounds. She is a young adult who is easy going, loves to explore and check things out, a super loving dog who is easily handable (the vet loves it when she goes to visit, the easiest patient around!) and very docile personality. She really loves people and being petted by them and giving her attention. She enjoys car rides and is not a big barker unless the other dogs are barking at something then she joins in. She is fostered in a home with an adult chiweenie and multiple foster puppies. Ray is amazing with children and fairly indifferent to other dogs, she never tries to 'start' anything and actually has a submissive personality of a 'i don't want no trouble!". Ray is also crate trained.

Volunteers who have met Ray mention she is VERY sweet, a bit timid when she first arrives the events because of new environments but she warms up as she feels comfortable with the help of volunteers reasuring her she is ok. She could use some leash training but she doesn't pull she just needs more walking to get more comfortable with the leash. We have not cat tested Ray and are happy to do so if applicant has cats or inquire about our foster to adopt 2 week trials.
