To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Hi! My name is Frannie, and I am a pure breed Frenchie.

I am a young adult approx. 4-5yrs old and as of 9/5/23 i am 20 pounds. I was relinquished by my owner in Tijuana when they realized their kids were going off to college and they wanted to travel with an empty nest at home. I was obtained from a breeder as a puppy because the children wanted a friend, and I sure was a fantastic friend to them all. I just wished they had seen me as a family member too :(

I have been spayed and was originally rescued by a dog rescue group who was unable to continue to care for me for lack of foster homes and my issue with gaining weight As of 9/20/23 I have been transferred to the care of ARWOB and I am now in San Diego boarding at the vet clinic while i get some blood work done and we find a foster home for me.

I am a super adorable little bundle of love and fun just searching for my REAL forever family because I REALLY would like to make sure I can find humans who will commit to being MY humans FOREVER. I know I am not a puppy, but I will give you all the puppy love you need if you just give me a chance. I am a 'pure breed' Frenchie which means, my family should have been researching Pet insurance or have the financial means to care for me as all frenchies we can develop medical problems in the future like breathing, skin, ear, eye infections, etc.

I will not be available for adoption until mid-October but in the meantime, I would love to find a family to leave the boarding facility. I am NOT house trained as my previous family never bothered but I would love to learn!

10/13/23: Update from Frannie's foster family:

Frannie is still just an absolute sweetheart. She is super friendly to other dogs and is indifferent to cats. She just ignores ours and my cat is not a fan so she just goes somewhere else. She absolutely loves everyone she meets and rolls over so they can rub her belly. Most friendly dog I have met so far. She is also extremely toy motivated, and a big chewer. I have gotten her some pretty tough toys but she is a pro at breaking the squeaker. She will play with a chewy toy for hours. She's also very quiet! I have only heard her bark once.

Frannie isn't exactly "crate trained" but I do have a crate for her when I go to bed. I let her roam until close to 10 or 11pm when I go to bed, and of course I take her to the bathroom before bed. She will go in and out of her crate on her own so she isn't scared of it. Frannie likes walks but hasn't really learned that walks are for going potty. If she's done walking or doesn't feel like it she'll sit and be stubborn. It helps if I bring my other dog along but it still takes her a while to go. She also isn't the biggest fan of grass and prefers peeing on the sidewalk or in rocks. That's what my current rescue dog does too lol. She isn't fully potty trained inside either. I'm going to try to teach her to use our doggie door.
