Hi!
My name is Jonny and I have a sister named Josie (also available for adoption)
As of 9/8/23 we are 4 pounds and approx. 3 months of age and are expected to grow into a 10-15 pound range. Our doggy mama was a Pomeranian but our father a small chihuahua. Some of our siblings had short and some had long coats. Thankfully, we both lucked out with short coats because we would be miserable in San Diego with long heavy coats, so we can enjoy life and run around happy.
We came to ARWOB when our 'adopters' a lovely elderly senior couple who had gotten us from a guy selling us on the street got us when we were only 4 weeks old and not old enough to have been weaned off our mama. They didn't know better unfortunately and when they realized they were not ready for our young age they seeked help from ARWOB. We are both such love bugs, typical small breed who adores to be hugged and picked up and total lap puppies. We were very secluded to only humans before we came to ARWOB but I had a very easy transition to casa de ARWOB with ALL the other doggy friends and I am having a blast with the big and small dogs (granted, I AM the smallest of the group, but I can handle myself around the big friends just FINE! HE HE)
I always find my sister and we both seek each other out would be a great pair to adopt together BUT not a must at all. I do love doggy friends so I hope if adopted as an only dog that I am adotped by a family who will absolutely keep me socialized around other dogs and take me to dog training for puppy training and to learn how to grow up a fantastic well behaved boy.
I am not house trained but if I have easy access to the yard or patio I tend to walk mhyself out to not have potty accidents, I used to be pee pad trained but ARWOB is teaching me to be a big boy and doing great in my crate training. I sleep in the crate at night along with my sister. I am too young and not leashed trained yet since I haven't gone on many walks but I do LOVE car rides. I enjoy ALL toys from chewing hard nylon to soft plush squeaky toys and more than anything I like to smile, have fun and be a total ham in your lap!
Would you like to adopt me? Submit an adoption application NOW! A volunteer will review it and text or email you to schedule a 10-15min call to talk about the adoption process and if both parties want to move fwd schedule a meet and greet in the clairemont or mission valley area.
We can schedule meet and greets ANY day of the week and any time during daylight. ARWOB does NOT ship dogs so if you want to meet me you have to drive down to meet me AND ARWOB does NOT place a hold on rescues, so please do not submit an adoption application unless you are prepared/ready to be a puppy parents SOON typically within a week or so of submitting an application because I am READY to go home.
NOTE- I am not neutered yet and I am scheduled at a local San Diego veterinary clinic to be neutered the first week of October, the surgery is already paid and included with the adoption fee and they are NOT able to make changes so local San Diego adopters who can drop off and pick up from surgery the same day in the 92104 is a MUST. This surgery day is Nontransferable. We are SERIOUS about pet overpopulation and sterilization. This appointment will NOT be able tbe canceled, changed, or postponed. This is important to know before submitting your application to adopt me as well. Thank you and I REALLY hope you choose to meet me and if we hit it off, ADOPT ME! :)
