Meet Peter!
The following is a quick bullet point on this rescue, please read the complete biography to know ALL we know about this wonderful rescue dog while under our care:
- Excellent with humans. Lives with young children.
- Excellent with cats and dogs.
- Crate trained
- Energy level medium
- A typical young pup who needs a family who doesn't leave him home alone for 8hr working hours alone and has time to do potty/house training.
UPDATE - 5/20/23
As of 5/21 Peter is the last available puppers of the "easter" babies. 6 down, 1 to go!
Its always the sweetest ones that are last which means we are hoping to find the nicest and sweetest of families for him, could that be you?
Peter is now 3.5mo old and approx. 16 pounds which means he is expected to grow to be in the 45-60 pound range. His mom "Hannah" is THE sweetest terrier (likely pit mix) around! and she is only 42 pounds about knee high. Hence, we know Peter can be as 'small' as 45 pounds or depending on who dad and how big he is now more likely in the 60 pound range.
Please, ONLY apply for Peter if you are a bully breed advocate and live in a home which is ALL breed friendly, especially if you are a renter. His mom and him don't look too pitty but they highly likely are pit mixes passing as terrier/lab mix.
Currently Peter and Hannah are fostered in the same home, in case you are looking to adopt a pair of sweet dogs this would be an excellent match and Hannah is a great mom with excellent personality and manners which are being instilled into her boy. They are of course by NO means in need of being adopted together, but you are welcome to meet them both. Their current foster consists of a family of 4 humans (2 adults, 2 children in the 8-10yr range) and 2 large breed dogs but they have been around many different dogs with other fosters and during events. The family has a yard with pool (so pool savvy already) and they are big time RV/Camping/Traveling active family to which they include their foster doggos too. So, they are well socialized and loved.
Here is a little information about Peter from his foster mom:
"Peter is such a cool little gentleman who knows his manners and is gentle as can be. He loves sun bathing and playing with his pup toys. He loves chasing my kids around the yard, but he especially loves cuddles from his humans. He can just lay in your arms and happily accept all the kisses you will give him. Peter is such a calm, crate trained, almost potty trained little man. He would make any family happy with his cute little brown spotted bootie. It would be a bonus if Peter had another furry family member because he loves other doggos too!'
