Meet Tyson!
This handsome boy is currently 5-6mo of age and is 30lbs as of 10/19/22
We DO NOT know his breed as he is your typical baja blend stray dog rescued from the streets of Ensenada back in early September. We don't know the parents which means we don't know if he will be a large or XL breed but we can certainly say he will be at least 60 pounds grown and likely more in the 70-80 pound range.
He has medium/long coat. He has been a good gentle pup. He doesn't make a lot of eye contact in a new environment or when first meeting new people but I think this is slowly changing as we get to know him. He is pretty easy going and calm with a side of aloof and serious yet also goofy and playful when he is around other dogs. He wants to play bow and be chased or chase his doggy friends frm adults larger than him to young adult little breeds who try to boss him around. He has a ball with other rescue pups and we think he will be safe around cats we just haven't exposed him to feline rescues. We have not heard his voice but that could be he is still figuring out his new foster home. He has been great in a crate, calm and mellow so far with no accidents.
If you are looking for a dog that resembles the Caucasian or Anatolian shepherd this guy may be the one but certainly doubt he will be that big as those breeds.
Tyson is scheduled to be sterilized in San Diego in the 92104 zip code area on Tuesday, October 18th. This date is FIRM and cannot be changed. Therefore, adopters must live locally to San Diego and be available to transport their newly adopted pup to and from the vet clinic for their sterilization surgery. The surgery is included in his adoption fee.
This handsome boy will be doing his adoption debut on our upcoming adoption event 10/22/22 AND if he is not adopted or we haven't found a home for him yet he will need a foster home after 10/28/22
To meet Tyson anytime either before or after the event we highly recommend to submit an application to adopt online at ARWOB.org for review and to schedule a phone interview if approved to adopt meet and greets are scheduled in the 92117 area
