Meet Pinta and Zaku!
These medium sized teenage pups are almost full grown and they are expected to reach about 40 pounds when they become adults. They have been boarding together and are great friends, however they do not need to be adopted together. We would love to find a foster family for them asap, so that they can enjoy some one-on-one time with a loving family! Of course, finding a forever adopter is our main focus, but we would recommend a foster-to-adopt trial, so a potential adopter can get to know them before finalizing their adoption.
Zaku is very young and active, is very sweet with people, and has lived with other adult dogs. He has not had any training as of yet. Pinta is a very sweet, loving girl with a gentle demeanor, but she is somewhat of a scaredy cat and will need a little time to acclimate upon meeting new people. She can be very shy, but she is extremely sweet.
These teenage pups can meet potential adopters right away. If all goes well with their meet and greet, they can potentially go home that same day. However, they will be sterilized at a local veterinarian clinic in the 92104 area of San Diego on Monday, December 6, 2021. The sterilization surgery is already included in their adoption fee. This means priority will given to local area applicants who live within 40 miles of zip code 92104. This will ensure the adopter is available to take their new pup to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment and then pick them up at the end of the day after surgery. The appointment cannot be rescheduled or cancelled. Please do NOT submit an application if you do not live within 40 miles of the North Park area (92104) of San Diego. If you would like to adopt and live outside of the specified area, you are welcome to wait until their sterilization surgery has been completed to see if they are still available at that time (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues).
