These two boys have been in a foster home until recently and their foster parents have this to say about them:
Sushi (mostly white with orange, tabby tail)
Sushi is a sweet but shy guy. At first he is timid, but once you earn his trust, he becomes a sweetheart! He loves rubbing his face all over you and will go after your hand to be petted. He is very food motivated and he is NOT easily overstimulated when you pet him. He Loves his brother, Sashimi (mostly orange kitty), and if they are not in close proximity, Sushi always tries to be in the same room as his brother.

Sashimi is the SWEETEST THING!!! He will come up to you and lay on you! He loves being petted and demands human affection! He often falls asleep on you as you are petting him. Sashimi LOVES to lay and cuddle with our small dog. They enjoy chasing each other and napping in each other's company! Much like his brother, he does not get overstimulated while getting petted. He is a very social cat who will bring his love and affection to your home!
Update: 10/30:
Sushi and Sashimi have moved to our cat adoption center at the PetSmart in Clairemont and have been there for a week. Moving to a new environment with a number of other cats can be quite an adjustment and this first week has been for them. Time and the support of our volunteers should make a difference and it already has. Less than a week after arriving in the center, today's volunteers had this to share about them:
"Sushi and Sashimi are so sweet. Sashimi was super affectionate, loved pets, and also licked me all over.. lol. Despite being very affectionate, he hesitated to leave his kennel. Sushi, on the other hand, jumped out a couple of times, walked around the room, sniffed everywhere, and climbed on tge cat tree!" (great progress!). Several days later: the boys are coming out of their kennels without having to be encouraged and are interacting with the other cats and playing with the toys. Sashimi has decided that he likes sitting on laps and Sushi is still a bit hesitant and just needs lots of TLC to gain confidence taking the initiative to come up to his human friends. Our volunteers are happy with their progress!
Ideally, these boys will be adopted with a sibling or another friend. Applicants could mix and match a friend to adopt together, BUT the important factor to adopt kittens is that kittens are adopted either with a sibling, a friend, or into a home with other feline friends because kittens are very cat oriented and can get lonely.
Would you like to meet and possibly adopt Sushi? First, submit a cat adoption application online for review at www.arwob.org. A volunteer will call you to finish processing your application and, if approved to adopt, we can schedule an actual meet and greet to interact with these kitties at our cat adoption center located at the PetSmart in Clairemont where the foster parent will bring them for you to meet.
Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application. Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings.
IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.
