Meet Blue and Sky!
These adorable girls are rescued from Ensenada, mexico.
Update 10/10/21:
As of 10/8/21 Sky has been adopted and her sister Blue is continuing her adoption journey.
Blue is a total beauty! She is also the perfect small/medium breed who is likely going to be full grown 25-35 pounds. She is GREAT with dogs and the word "silly" comes to mind. She is just SO happy when she is around dogs playing chase, being chased, body slamming, playing tug of war and anything related to doggy play. She is submissive personality but will hold her ground to an alpha personality she just doesn't instigate anything negative. She is very smart and has ability to learn quickly especially since she is praise and food motivated. She rides well in the car and is very crate trained. Not sure of house training but she is certainly not going to have many accidents like young pups, she is bound to hold it longer periods of time in the home as long as adopter will continue potty training.
She is great with children and people. She is certainly more dog oriented BUT she did come to ARWOB in august a very scared and withdrawn pup and has come such a long way with her happy outgoing 'whats up' personality greeting people she meets.
Anyone interested in adopting Blue should enroll in dog training and have a structured home because she can be a barky dog if allowed. She is a great 'warning system' for the home but we want to avoid her being a barky dog, which she tends to do only in the yard unsupervised or if scared of something new. Which is very common trait for the young dogs and small breeds. She has not displayed any separation anxiety when being left in her crate in which she is patient, quiet and relaxed so she will be fine for short stints through the day and at night.
If you are looking to adopt a loving, smart active fun and FUNNY character pup, then blue is the one! She is also healthy and all done with medical nothing to report in the medical department and she is more than READY to go home. Ideal home will have another dog BUT if not then a family who will socialize and provide her dog playtimes with friends or doggy day care/dog park as she would be unhappy if she was not allowed to socialize with other dogs.
Her foster family notes the following:
"They have amazing agility, intelligent, obedient, and we found them to be easy to train. So far they are crate trained with no accidents throughout the night. They enjoy children and has done well with our 3 children ages 3, 5, and 7, and we are teaching them to not chase our cat. They are such gems.”
Please submit an online application to foster or adopt, and we will call or email you to follow up either the same day or within 72 hours. Applications can be submitted at: www.arwob.org
