Meet Marla!
Here is what Marla's foster family has to say:
"Marlie and Marla are 2 adorable, sweet natured pups. They are currently 3-4 months old and 15 pounds, so they are medium sized breeds who will likely grow to be in the 35-50 pound range. Like all puppies they are social with people and other animals. They will be a perfect addition to a family who is willing to do puppy training and have the proper work schedule in order to have a pup in their life.”
ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:
Marlie and Marla are part of a litter of 8, who were rescued from the streets of Ensenada, Mexico. We are not sure of their breeds, but like all Baja dogs, there is always a larger breed and smaller breed in their DNA, which will make them a perfect medium sized breed. You could say Marlie looks like a Shepherd/Min Pin/Terrier mix and Marla looks like a Collie/Spaniel/Shepherd. But in reality they are just adorable Super Mutts, who will be no smaller than 35 pounds and no bigger than 50 pounds.
The girls are done with their puppy vaccine series and are fully vaccinated. PLEASE only apply to adopt if you are looking for a dog in that full grown weight range and have approval from your landlord for the size and breed. These puppies are adorable both physically and behaviorally. They are great with dogs, cats, and kids.
Please submit an application to adopt online and we will call or email you to follow up either the same day or within 72hrs.
The pups can meet potential adopters right away. If all goes well with their meet and greet, they can potentially go home that SAME DAY. However, they will be sterilized in the 92104 area of San Diego on Monday, October 4, 2021. The sterilization surgery is already included in their adoption fee. This means priority will given to local area applicants. This will ensure the adopter is able to take their new puppy to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment and then pick them up at the end of the day after surgery. Please do NOT submit an application if you do not live in the San Diego area. If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until their sterilization surgery has been completed to see if they are still available at that time (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues).
If you are interested in one of these adorable pups, please complete an online application at www.arwob.org. Don’t wait!
