To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Saffron and Curry!

Saffron and Curry are rescues from the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. They are currently in a foster home in San Diego, have been since early June, and are READY to be adopted! Both are healthy, spayed and UTD on all medical. These girls are AMAZING! Super sweet, loving, playful.They are currently in a home with children and other cats, but no dogs. However, they are pretty outgoing and might adjust to a home with cat safe dogs with proper introduction.

Foster Update 7/11: Meet Saffron and Curry, a friendly and affectionate duo.

The duo consists of the sweetest kittens who would light up anyone's day. Playing along and being the curious little creatures that they are, they are filled to the brim with joy and affection to anyone willing to spend their time with them! Both of them like to be close to you, play around you, and nap near you. Both are friendly, energetic, and will be a welcome addition to anybody's home. They are currently in a home with pets.. other cats and a 120 pound dog. Both of these kittens are fine with other cats, but do not seem to like dogs much, although they are getting better. It does take time to get ulsed to each other.The family dog is 120 pounds. They may do better with a small dog whose size is not so intimidating to them. Saffron is quick to adjust and warm up to people and pets alike, while Curry is a little bit shy. However, they are also no strangers to other pets, and will gladly play along with them if they so choose to.

Curry, the gray and white girl, is the more mellow. If you need comfort or just want to cuddle while sitting on the family couch, you can count on her to appear besides you. Once she warms up to you, she won't mind lying down for an hour or two by your side, resting by your comfort.

Saffron, the tortie, unlike Curry, is much more energetic. She is able to play and have fun with others, and is often more curious about the world around her. That being said, she is equally as affectionate as Curry. She will approach and enjoy being petted and treated just the same, and can be a source of love just as well as any other kind and friendly kitten.

Would you like to meet and possibly adopt these cuties? First, submit a cat adoption application online for review at www.arwob.org. A volunteer will call you to finish processing your application and, if approved to adopt, we can schedule an actual meet and greet to interact with these kitties at our cat adoption center located at the PetSmart in Clairemont where the foster parent will bring them for you to meet.

Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application. Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings.

IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.

Ideally, these girls will be adopted together or with another friend. Applicants could mix and match a friend to adopt together, BUT the important factor to adopt kittens is that kittens are adopted either with a sibling, a friend, or into a home with other feline friends because kittens are very cat oriented and can get lonely.
