Meet Tina!

Tina is your typical sweet, active and friendly kitten (teen) She has been spayed and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV, so she is ready to schedule a “meet and greet”.

Tina had ibuprofen toxicity back in April as her foster didn't realize there was a pill on the floor that she was playing and batting around and she likely ingested it. The next morning Tina was not acting normal so off she went to the ER and was hospitalized for almost 5 days with fluids. Sure, the group spent approx. 4K on her treatment as many kitties don't make it out. We are SO happy she did and her body was able to detox itself and we can say she didn't have any complications and her kidney and liver functions are perfect after blood work rechecks. 

Now, this means that the ideal adopter for Tina is someone who is vigilant because she would be the kitty that gets into trash and eats chicken bones, or eats the wrong plant. She LOVES to bat around cat toys in the air and especially if they have cat nip. So, if you are pretty aware of dangers pets can get into and can kitty proof your home to avoid issues like the one Tina got herself into, then GREAT! Please, do apply to adopt her but not if you have kids or roommates who could increase her chance of getting into trouble because she is a very curious girl.

Tina has recently moved into our cat adoption center in the PetSmart in Clairemont and she is adjusting very well. Our volunteers mention how calm and sweet this girl is. Prior to this, Tina was fostered in a home with multiple dogs and cats. She is social and friendly, and also independent. She can be loving, but not overly affectionate. She is very cat friendly and can enjoy chasing around and playing tag with other cats. She likes to explore the rooms and follow humans around those rooms. She is not a big talker unless she is stuck in a room. She could be adopted as the only cat but let's be honest, we prefer that she isn't. We prefer she is adopted into a home with other cats or cat friendly dogs. IF there is no home with other pets to keep her company then a home with older children who can entertain her or humans who work from home so she isn't alone when everyone is at work, school or traveling. She has been under ARWOB care since February and is always around multiple creatures. She loves feather toys and anything she can jump high to catch.

Would you like to meet and possibly adopt this cutie?  First, submit a cat adoption application online for review. A volunteer will call you to finish processing your application and, if approved to adopt, we can schedule an actual meet and greet to interact with these kittos at our cat adoption center located at the PetSmart in Clairemont.

Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application.  Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings.  

IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.
