Meet Pita!
Pita is your typical sweet, active and friendly kitten. We think she may have some Bengal in her DNA, but that's just a guess. She is very friendly towards people, At this point we are not sure how she will be around dogs, as we have not tested her with dogs. She has been spayed and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV, so she is ready to schedule a “meet and greet”.
Tina and Pita are being fostered together and are great friends! If you are interested in a pair of kitties that get along well, these two sweethearts would be a good pair. Pita has higher energy when she plays and is fine with the other cats. She ignores the senior kitties, but tries to play with Tina a lot. She should be fine with another new cat, but will hiss and be angry when first meeting them, so proper introduction is a must if an adopter has another cat in the home.
Update 6/12:
Tina and Pita are now at our cat adoption center in Clairemont. They have been sharing several condos together and since they are good friends, they feel at easewith each other. Our volunteers have mentioned that Pita and Tina are playful and they LOVE toys and wands...they have the time of their lives with the wand with the long felt tail. It had taken Tina a little while longer to warm up to her human, but she eventually has and both enjoy petting. They are both very sweet and sociable girls. Since Tina is not fond of other cats except for Pita, our volunteers usually have other cats out for playtime for a while and then put Tina and Pita out togther without the others. This works well for the kits.
Would you like to meet and possibly adopt this cutie? First, submit a cat adoption application online for review. A volunteer will call you to finish processing your application and, if approved to adopt, we can schedule an actual meet and greet to interact with these kittos at our cat adoption center located at the PetSmart in Clairemont where the foster parent will bring them for you to meet.
Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application. Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings.
IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.
If you are interested in adopting this beautiful young girl or the duo and want to set up a meet and greet, please fill out an online application at: www.arwob.org
