To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Meet Nakia!

Nakia was rescued from the streets in City Heights in May of 2018. She is loving but also is a gentle calm girl who naps a lot and several times a day is active and tends to be around her people. She is social, but not overly so. She currently lives with cats and dogs, but she doesn't seek their attention or company so she would be happy as an only cat, but does well around the other house pets and is not bothered by them or starts any fights. She is a very clean girl who uses her box appropriately. For someone who is looking for a loving but not overly attached kitty, Nakia would be your girl! She is currently in a foster home in San Diego and would need an application submitted online to schedule a meet and greet.
