To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Callie and Rita, two beautiful girls, came to Arwob together. Sadly, they were part of a hoarding home with too many under-socialized cats. We were able to take these two friends and they have come such a long way. Callie loves to play with toys and she melts in your hands when being petted. When Callie was at our cat adoption center in Clairemont, the minute you would go inside the center, she greeted you vocally and couldn't wait for all of the TLC you had to give! She used to be shy, but we are delighted to see a kitty who had been under socialized, now with interaction and socialization time spent with our volunteers, has become a social girl around her humans and is so sweet and outgoing. She is also becoming more comfortable being held and carried. Rita found her forever home and now it is Callie's turn!

Update 10/18: Callie, and her friend, Tiana, are currently being fostered together and both are loving lots of space to play in and all of the TLC and loving coming from their foster parents. Callie's foster mom says that "Callie & Tiana are great cats! Quite the characters! They carry fur toy mice, or anything else they like, around the house and bring things to us as presents (even in the middle of the night)! :) Tiana runs up to me and kisses me on the nose.and loves to snuggle by our pillows with us at night. Callie is around us, too, but not as snuggly. She is now comfortable with being held and carried. Both are sweet girls and can play alone/together and/or run and wrestle with each other."

They do not have to be adopted together and can be adopted singly, if you are looking for a pair, though, these two girls do well with each other, as well. (see pics and video)
