Meet Cesar!

Cesar was transferred from a local shelter in Louisiana after Hurricane Harvey hit. Cesar, along with a few of his friends, were exited from local shelters in Texas and Louisiana to help the states with the influx of animals entering their shelters after two hurricanes hit. Approx 144 animals were transferred into local San Diego shelters to help make space for the displaced dogs and cats after the hurricanes.
Cesar has spent most of his life in a shelter environment prior to arriving in San Diego. He is making a lot of progress and we think in time (and with a lot of love), he will learn what it's like to be part of a family. Ironically, the hurricanes have given him an "out" so that he could be rescued by ARWOB and he is now able to get the adoption exposure he deserves.
Here is what Cesar’s foster family has to say about this handsome guy: “Cesar is adjusting well. He has quite a bit of social skills and training (sit, down, etc.) that he needs help with, but so far so good! The grandparents are here, as is their dog, so he is getting more attention and love and play time!! He is a sweetheart and he loves to play. He approaches everything with caution, so we are under the impression that everything is new to him. The vacuum just about gave him a heart attack! We can tell that he is a lot more comfortable with dogs than he is with humans. Right now we are working on earning his trust and love, and then we will start with his basic training. He has a hard time accepting love and affection, but once he starts getting pat and getting love, you know he likes it! I think in a couple weeks we will be seeing some drastic changes for the better! What a handsome, calm, quiet, playful dog! He would make a great addition to a family!”
