Meet Koda!

Koda was transferred from a local shelter in Louisiana after Hurricane Harvey hit. Koda, along with a few of her friends, were exited from local shelters in Texas and Louisiana to help the states with the influx of animals entering their shelters after Hurricane Harvey and Irma hit. Approx 144 animals were transferred into local San Diego shelters to help make space for the displaced dogs and cats after the hurricanes.
Koda is great friends with Cesar (who is likely his brother) and also friends with Ricochet and the rest of the crew. Both Koda and Cesar LOVE other dogs, especially medium to large breeds. Ideally they will be adopted into home with other dogs or with a BFF/brother. These two pups had apparently been at the shelter for more than a year since they were teens and never had been adopted. Luckily they found the "out" they needed when transferred to our care. Now they can get a new chance at the adoption exposure they deserve. Cesar is a bit of a scaredy cat and a little more "unsure" of some new things, but he trusts humans and loves his people once he gets to know them. Koda is the security blanket for Cesar and he is more relaxed and sure of things. Both of these dogs are amazing, loving, and smart and they would make good companions.
Koda and Cesar were together for the first 2 weeks, but they have been living with different foster families since early October, so they can be adopted together or separately. In fact, Koda's foster family has told us that although he was a bit shy when meeting their family dog, they have already become fast friends and best buds!
