Meet Nala! A concerned citizen rescued Nala in September 2013. She was found lying on the side of the highway after being hit by a car. Nala needed surgery to remove the head of the femur in her left leg. Her wonderful rescuer provided Nala with a year of physical therapy so she would regain the use of her leg. All of the hard work paid off because Nala has totally recovered! She is completely healthy and she runs, jumps, and plays just like a normal dog.
Nala has had basic obedience training – she is crated trained, house broken and knows how to properly walk on a leash. When out for a walk, Nala will sit when her leader stops and she also sits on command. Nala gets along with other dogs, both big and small, and she enjoys adults and children alike. She has not been tested with cats, but her foster family believes she will do just fine with a proper introduction and supervision at first. She is a very well behaved girl who is obedient, playful, happy and intelligent. In fact, her foster family describes her as an absolute JEWEL!
