Meet Nash, a 7 week old, 5-7lb bundle of joy who was rescued when still in the womb of his pregnant mom after a good sam noticed she was abandoned on a cabin porch in Tennessee. It broke his heart to leave her there, so the good sam decided to take her on his ride back to San Diego. Lucy, the mother, was scheduled to have a spay with SNAP, but she gave birth to these puppies 3 days before.
Nash is a very inquisitive, observant pup. He will watch his brothers and sisters along with everyone else around him because he always wants to know what everyone is doing. If his siblings are around, he will certainly play with them, but when people are present, he will confidently stumble over to them to see what they are up to. If someone has something interesting in their hands and moves it around, he's very keen to go after it in a playful manner. He's so silly when he stumbles over himself trying to obtain the object! Nash is certainly a healthy and curious pup and wants to always know what's going on around him, but he settles down nicely after so long.
The mom is a friendly and petite 35-40lb Lab/Shep mix who is also up for adoption. The people in the neighborhood claim that the father might be a 70lb Rottie mix who they say was the only male, unneutered dog wandering around. The pups do have some Rottie characteristics, but they also have prominent GSD markings along with some Lab traits from mom. Given their potential breeds, the pups may grow to be 40-55lbs, so medium sized.
They are all weaned off of mom's milk and are eating dry/wet food on their own. They have had their first set of vaccinations and will be spay/neutered when old enough. Otherwise, they are ready for adoption. All pups have been socialized around adult dogs, children and people. They are in their learning stages of crate, leash, and house-training.
Puppies are a very big commitment, so we are looking for dedicated adopters.
