Meet the 7!
In late April, we were notified of a carton box with kittens inside which were vocal and covered in their own soil and just starving. Thankfully, we were able to coordinate transport. Upon their arrival, we assessed they were young.. approx. 4 weeks old and so hungry most figured out how to eat wet food right away. 4 babies were bigger by a couple of grams and 3 were significantly smaller.
4 kitts were moved to a foster family in Alpine who nursed them back to health and made sure they thrived. After being in foster care for 6 weeks, they are NOW ready for adoption! These 4 (3 girls and 1 boy) have been socialized around children, adults, a parrot, and a large breed dog whom they LOVE and will be completely fine around cats too!

The kitts are in Alpine through the end of June, but the meet and greets will be scheduled for approved applicants in the 92117 area and are ready as soon as 6/15 to schedule the meets and possible adoptions.
Foster update June 12, 2021:
Izzy is a quiet and an independent girl, who is totally okay playing and sleeping by herself and is just happy to cuddle in with her human for some cuddles and a nap. She is brave and adventurous and loves her kitty toys! She is litter box trained and she is good with dogs, kids, and adults too!
Meet Kit: This beautiful Torti is the most affectionate companion you’ll ever know! She loves to talk and tell you what she’s thinking.. which usually is “please pick me up and give me cuddles”. She just wants to be by your side and be involved with the family. She’s playful, loving and such a sweet girl and she's litter trained too.. Kit is a funny girl
and loves playing on her foster cat tree and with her siblings. She’s good with dogs, kids, and the whole family.
Meet Fox: This boy is the sweetest kitty around! He is loving, affectionate, and loves to nap with his foster mom while purring the whole time. He is quiet, gentle, and silly too. He loves to play with his shadow and will have you laughing.. He is litter trained, good with dogs, kids and the whole family.
Meet Kali: She is the Sweetest calico around! She is good with other kitties , dogs, adults and kids too. Kali is very playful and also loves to curl up on her foster mom's shoulder to take a long nap. She is litter trained too.
Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application. Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings.
IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.
Ideally, they would be adopted with a sibling or another kitten. Applicants could mix and match a friend to adopt together, BUT the important factor to adopt kittens is that kittens are adopted either with a sibling, a friend, or into a home with other feline friends because kittens are very cat oriented and can get lonely.
NOTE: Kit, Fox, Kalie, and Izzy can meet potential adopters right away. However, all 4 kittens wibe sterilizate at a date/location TO BE DETERMINED, which means the adopter must be available that day to transport their adoptive kitten to/from the designated location. The surgery is included in the adoption fee and NO CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING will be allowed. Adopters must be available to drop their adoptive kitten off and pick them up later that day on DATE TO BE DETERMINED(PLEASE CHECK YOUR CALENDAR). Therefore, priority will be given to local area adopters. If you live outside of the San Diego area and would like to adopt, you are welcome to check back to see if this rescue is still available after the surgery is completed (we do not put holds on any of our rescue animals).
