Meet Toto and Beethoven!
These two brothers were relinquished by a family in Baja Mexico. They had purchased the brothers from a breeder for Christmas, but then realized they do not have time for dogs. Consequently, the brothers were left home alone for many long hours. These handsome guys do not do well when being left home alone, so an ideal adopter will be someone who works from home and can give them the attention they deserve.
These two boys are very playful and outgoing, although they can be a bit shy at first when in a new setting and meeting new people. Toto is the more shy of the two brothers, but he warms up. They both do great with other dogs, cats, and children. The boys will likely reach the 25 pound range when they are full grown. These guys are already crate trained, but they are not yet house trained. Puppy training is recommended, as they are still young. Therefore, we are looking for an adopter that is willing to train them so that they learn how to be the perfect family member. This includes setting boundaries so that they do not acquire any bad habits (i.e. barking, whining, etc.).
Beethoven has already been neutered and we are most likely going to start scheduling meet and greet sessions for the boys starting around 2/12/21. Toto has had a schedule change for his neuter surgery: He is now scheduled to be sterilized in the 92109 Pacific Beach area of San Diego on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. This means Toto can only be adopted to local families in the San Diego area to ensure they are able to take him to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment, and then pick him up at the end of the day after surgery. Therefore, please do NOT submit an application if you are not local to San Diego and able to attend the appointments shown above. If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until Toto's sterilization surgery has been completed to see if he is still available (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues).
