Meet Pinkie Pie!

UPDATE 1-20-21:
Here is what Pinkie Pie's foster mom has to say about her:

"This little girl is tiny, but mighty. She has become a confident, loving girl who is very curious about her surroundings. She loves to explore, but is cautious and always aware of where her caretaker is. She does not stray too far from her family. She is very generous with her cuddles and is content in your lap. When it’s time to play, she is bubbly and playful. She loves to wrestle with her adopted brother or she finds things to play with in the yard. ;) Pinky Pie would be such a dainty, loving addition to any family."

ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:

Pinkie Pie was found on the streets of Ensenada Mexico along with Rainbow Dash and her son Apple Jack. We are 99% sure that Apple Jack is Rainbow Dash's biological son and that Pinkie Pie is her "adoptive daughter."  They were found together as a "family of three" when they were rescued and mama Rainbow did a great job keeping both pups safe while living on the street!

Pinkie is a good hunter of little scurry things.  She has managed to come bearing gifts to her foster mom.  One day she brought a baby bird and another day a mouse.  We are not sure if she found them and claimed them as a prize or if she actually was fast enough to catch them herself.  For this reason, she would be better in a home with no “pocket pets” (e.g. rabbits, Guinea pigs, birds).  She would be just fine around cats, as she is young and playful.

We will post more information about Pinkie Pie's personality as we learn more about her from her current foster family.  We do know she is a typical young pup with lots of energy, which is the case with most pups her age.

Because of COVID-19, sterilization appointments have been difficult to schedule.  Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie will both be sterilized on Thursday, January 28th in the 92109 area of San Diego. This means the pups can only be adopted to local families in the San Diego area to ensure they are able to take their newly adopted puppy to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment, and then pick them up at the end of the day after surgery.

Therefore, please do NOT submit an application if you are not local to San Diego and able to attend the appointment shown above.  If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until their sterilization surgeries have been completed to see if the rescue you are interested in is still available at that time.

If you are interested in adopting Pinkie Pie, please submit an online adoption application at www.arwob.org. Don’t wait!
