To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Dusty!

Goofy Dusty is a young teen lab/shep mix who was rescued from the streets of Tijuana by a good sam after she saw a car run over his front leg. She took him to a local TJ vet clinic for treatment as he had a very serious injury. She was taking good care of Dusty and helped him recover. After a month she started to contact rescues seeking assistance to help with his adoption and we took Dusty in.

We realized he has an abnormal right front leg from the hit by car which turned out to leave him with a abnormal paw from multiple fractures to his paw. We are waiting to take him to a specialist to see if he recommends surgery to repari, amputation, or nothing to be done. We will know in mid September of what his future holds. For now, we can say this guy is a HAPPY BOY. Nothing stops him and he is VERY energetic; we are confident he has no pain from his bad leg. He runs, goes up/down stairs, and his leg doesn't seem to hold him back to play with his pup pals.

Dusty is great with people, very silly and outgoing. Has not been tested aroudn children and cats, but he likely would do very well with both.

He is a fairly small lab only in the mid 30 pounds and likely won't grow above 40lbs. We would love to find him a foster family or adopter as he is currently in a kennel setting. He is learning leash walking and crate training.
