To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Meet Claire! Claire and her 6 puppies came in to ARWOB as Tijuana strays. All of Claire's puppies have been adopted and we are excited to find a loving home for Claire. In fact, we are looking for a potential foster home for this sweet girl and we offer foster-to-adopt programs as well. Although Claire is a Terrier/Doxy mix, she acts a lot like a yellow lab. She even has the looks and the gorgeous coat of a lab, but the body of a Doxy with short legs. She is a compact kind of girl!

Claire has a sweet disposition, loves people, and she really enjoys belly rubs! She is terrific with kids and with other dogs. In fact, she just LOVES to play with other dogs. She does not do well with other small animals, so she would need to live with a family without cats or other small pets. Claire is still learning her manners and will need a patient adopter to help her overcome a few bad habits. She uses the doggy door perfectly and has not had any accidents in the house.
