Santa Paws Mega Adoption Event will be at Grossmont Center on December 9th! Adoption Event at Grossmont Center is one of the largest adoption events in the nation! Featuring several HUNDRED adoptable animals from dozens of local rescues and shelters. Keep checking back daily for updates! Current Participating Rescue Organizations: Too many to name but ARWOB will absolutely be there with all our arwob adoptable dogs and dogs looking for foster homes! Come find the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE at one of the LARGEST adoption events in the Country. HUNDREDS of Adoptable Animals from DOZENS of Rescue Agencies and Animal Shelters....all in one place! ARWOB will be there and you can meet all our rescue dogs attending by visiting our booth which you can find at: Booth #20 (you can find our booth map on our social media pages) our booth is located across READING Cinemas and SPA & Co. If we receive adoption applications ahead of the event we will be contacting applicants within 1-3 days of submitting apps and perhaps schedule ahead of the event for meets once applicants are approved to adopt. Otherwise, come on down and stop by to meet our rescue doggos looking for forever homes and some of them for foster homes :)

Monthly ARWOB Pack hike

Join us! Meet up location = Mission trails visitor CTR loop overflow lot (corner of Mission Gorge road & Jackson drive) ARWOB holds monthly pack hikes for our available rescue dogs who are searching for: Adopters, fosters or foster to adopt families. Please, RSVP if you want to VOLUNTEER as a handler and join the pack hike. You can RSVP by commenting on FB Event page for this hike or email us animalrescuers@icloud.com If you are planning on stopping by to ONLY meet the ARWOB dogs, please, check the animal attendance to know who is coming. In case attendance changes last minute we encourage and recommend you email or text us the night before to let us know you are planning on attending the meet up to meet a certain dog. We recommend you arrive between 8:15-8:30am BEFORE the hike starts OR between 10-10:30am to meet them post hike. If you are looking to adopt, foster or foster 2 adopt a dog we recommend you submit an application online BUT is not needed to just stop by and meet them. After the meet if you are interested in moving fwd you can go home and submit an application to start the process. Pack hikes are our "adoption events" a great way to spend time with prospect doggos and meet them all at the same time. Prospective adopters or fosters are welcome to join the hikes and handle dogs OR just meet them before or after the hike - easy access for those who don't have time to join or are able to physically join the hike.

San Diego Super Adoption Event

This multi rescue group adoption event is presented by North Park Vegan Food Popup created to help rescue dogs and cats find HELP by finding forever or foster homes. About a dozen rescue/shelters will be attending with their rescue dogs and cats looking for families to meet. Stop by and enjoying a fantastic ambiance and enjoy over 60 vendors with delicious food! It’s a WIN win for humans and animals alike. ARWOB will be present with their rescue dogs look for our Animal Rescuers Without Borders canopy and chat with us about our foster programs and adoption process. More importantly stop by to spend some Time with our doggos who would love to meet new friends and enjoy a lap or a mini walk. Parking: There’s a 6- story parking garage on 29th street and north park way. Additionally, there is free street parking nearby. Visit ARWOB.org
Meg Dog adoption Event

Looking to adopt or foster a dog? Please, take a look at our animal attendance. Its a special event. All dogs attending have a special adoption event fee of $150! All sterilized, chipped, UTD on vaccines and some depending on medical have had blood work and testing as well. If you choose to take a dog on a 'Foster to adopt' trial the special adoption fee will be honored even if you adopt 1-2 weeks post event. We highly recommend to submit applications online ASAP or no later than 48hrs prior to the adoption event for volunteers to have enough time to contact you BEFORE the event and let you know what items you need to bring to come prepared to the event if you are looking to start fostering or adopting the same day of the event. Submit an ADOPTION application if you have an intent to adopt or foster to adopt trial. Submit a foster application if the intent is SOLELY to foster with no interest to adopt. Foster to adopt trials are perfect to make sure everyone is well matched to each other. Foster to adopt trials are 1-2 weeks long. We do request a minimum of a FULL week commitment and a minimum of 3 day notice for anyone taking a dog home as an adopter, foster or foster to adopt trials to give notice if the doggo needs to come back to the group because things are not working out. However, we know these dogs personalities really well so we will help match the rescue dog to what you are looking for or help answer information if the dog you are interested in is a good potential match or not. You do not need to submit applications before the event as you can do so during the event or even after BUT it sure does help. Once you submit an adoption or foster application you do NOT need to resubmit for others. That application can be used for ANY of the available rescue dogs under our ARWOB care. However, Many of these dogs are fostered with Baja foster parents for lack of San Diego fosters so PLEASE, If you are not ready to adopt or start fostering the SAME day or the next day of the event but until the next weeks to come its completely fine but PLEASE, drive down to at least meet them in person. Submitting an application or just sending us an email helps us know there is someone possibly interested in certain rescue dogs and letting us know you may stop by to meet them. We really hope you make the time to drive down to this event because even if you don't find a match through our rescue group chances are you will through one of the other rescue groups attending.

Looking to foster or adopt a dog? This is the perfect event to stop by and meet the dogs attending. Check the attendance list to see who’s coming and jsut stop by to sit down with them or walk them around! They are all looking for forever homes and please ask us about our foster to adopt trials too! Note: dogs will NOT be able to go home the day of the event UNLESS we have pre-approved applicants who have submitted applications and gone through the process ahead of the event and all is left to do is for the applicants to stop by and meet them and see if they like to foster or adopt one of the attendees, otherwise just stop by to meet these amazing rescue dogs and if you connect with someone go home and submit the application online to start the process and once approved you can pick up your new family meme her or foster dog. See you then!
