Peanut (fka Sam) was adopted in May 2024. He is enjoying his new life with his adoring family. Here is what his adoptive mom has to say about him:
"We are in love with Peanut (previously Sam)!!! He is such a sweet boy and has been a wonderful addition to our family. We haven't yet done formal training, but we are planning on it. He is doing great on leash, great at night, great with the other dogs in the family. The only issue that needs to be addressed is his separation anxiety when we are all gone, which isn't often. I am so thankful for the bond that he and our older rescue have formed. We are so thankful for our spunky little guy!!! Thank you!!"
Buttercup has waited a long time for her perfect forever home. She was adopted in May 2024 and we are very pleased to hear she is doing so well with her adoptive family! Here is what her adoptive mom has to say about her:
"Buttercup is doing well! We have training with Hot Dog on a Leash every other week. She's doing great with her recall and we are working on her confidence. She has been going on a lot of adventures with me!"
Moose (fka Antena) was adopted in May 2024. Her adoptive family is so in love with her and provided this awesome update. She sure won the jackpot!
"Moose (formerly known as Antena) is doing great! She’s such a smart pup and has really come a long way since we first adopted her. She absolutely loves the dog park where we take her frequently, she loves alllll the toys, loves walks and hikes, and loves to cuddle! We haven’t put her in formal training yet but have done a lot of training with her ourselves. She has learned many new commands and we are working on breaking her separation anxiety. It’s exciting to see how much progress we’ve made over these last two months, and I can’t wait to see how much more progress we make in the future. She’s completely come out of her shell and continues to surprise us in funny ways. We are head over heels in love and so excited to call her ours. She also gets all the compliments from people, they talk about what a good dog she is. We are lucky and blessed to have her, and feel like she is lucky and blessed to have us too. Thanks for checking in!"
Rosa (fka Godiva) was adopted in May 2024. We received this wonderful "pupdate" from her adoptive family and we are so happy to hear she has made them complete! Rosa just graduated from her puppy classes at Petco and as you can see from the photo, she is posing with her proud parents.
"We are so happy with her. She is turning into a great dog. We renamed her Rosa. We took her to puppy classes at Petco; she just graduated. She has gained a lot of confidence through the class and by us taking her to different places and introducing her to the dogs of friends and family. We also took her to Fiesta Island and a dog park and she loved both. She initially feared the car, but we worked with her and she jumps right in now. She’s still nervous about walking near heavy traffic but we are working on that too. When the weather cools, we hope to take her to agility training to further boost her confidence. We will also be trying her out at doggie daycare so she has some puppy play time. She loves to tug and catch balls and frisbee. She gets the zoomies almost every day. She initially had trouble with excited peeing (mostly meeting new people and when I came home from running errands) but even that is getting better. She has no problem with going into her crate at night. Walked her at Mission Trails yesterday and she did great. She’s very loving and affectionate. My parents are smitten with her as well. She’s been to the vet (for a UTI) but is better now after antibiotics. She has health insurance now as well. She also did an extensive grooming and tolerated that very well (bath, nail trim, teeth brushed, etc.). Thanks again for making our family complete again. It took us a long time to find just the right fit after we lost our beloved Sam last October, but we couldn’t have done better than Rosa."
Odo (fka Flicka) was adopted in April 2024. He is enjoying his new family and even had a doggie friend to play with. Here is what his adoptive mom has to say:
"Flicka is doing great, we renamed him “Odo”. He loves playing with his new sister, human brother, and loves going on walks, digging in the backyard, and cuddling on the couch. He is very smart and doing well at his puppy training class."
