Celia

We recently received a great "pupdate" about Tokki (fka Celia), who was adopted in May 2021.  Here is what her mom has to say:

"Our little fur baby is getting big! The medium-sized crate we got her is a little small for her after less than a month. Her name was Celia (Cecilia), but we have named her Tokki (rhymes with Loki), which is Korean for bunny rabbit. She just turned 5 months and we have had her for one month as of today. What a handful! She is sweet, friendly, intelligent, kinda naughty, and extremely active. We've been very pleased that she isn't food aggressive. We have a 14-year-old Schipperke who has sidled up to Tokki's bowl a couple of times. The first time, Tokki just sat there and let her eat. The second time, Tokki gently nudged her away with her hip. So cute. We had an introductory obedience class about 2 weeks ago, and will start the 4 weekly sessions this Friday. Tokki learns well, when she can focus, which is hard to do when you are a puppy! She does okay so far on walks, but needs a bit more discipline when she sees other dogs or walks by a parked car with the engine idling. She loves her chew toys, plays fetch, and can catch a thrown toy on the fly. Tokki got the hang of going outside to do "business" after just a few days. Very bright. I have attached four pictures. Many thanks to your organization!"

Chloe

Check out this great "pupdate" about Ruby (fka Chloe), who was adopted from ARWOB in May 2020. She is an outdoor doggy that loves the beach and the snow! Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:

"Ruby is the sweetest doggo ever! She was about full grown when we got her but she has gained a healthy pound or two.  She loves her daily sunbathing and going to the dog beach in OB. She’s living her best life here in SD."

Chalk

We received this spectacular "pupdate" about Canela (fka Chalk) who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020.  She is living her best life with her new family!  Here is what her adoptive dad has to say:

"We couldn't be happier to share an update on Canela (we renamed her Canela from Chalk). She has been the biggest blessing and brings so much joy to our lives. She is the sweetest dog ever and you can tell she cares so much. We could not be more in love with our rescued puppy and we are pretty sure she loves her home.

In the 10 months we have had her she has already experienced many new things. She loves going on long walks and running on bike rides. Her favorite places to go are the park to play with her friends and to the beach to chase tennis balls in the water. We've taken her on all of our camping trips where she loves exploring and chasing birds. She is still not too fond of the car, but doesn't drool or throw up anymore, and we know she will like the destination. She's a great swimmer too, we've taken her to pools, lakes and the ocean where she always has a blast. She graduated from puppy class shortly after we got her, and she could not be more well behaved. She has been great with our 2 year old godson too. Canela has been such an amazing addition to our family and we look forward to many more loving years of fun with her."

Caleb

We received this fabulous photo of Jack (fka Caleb), who was adopted from ARWOB in 2012.  He is still going strong with his adoptive mom and feline sibling.

Clara

We received a fantastic "pupdate" about Mochi (fka Clara), who was adopted in April 2020! Here is what her adoptive Dad has to say about her:

"Clara (or as we now call her Mochi) is doing great! We actually adopted another dog about three months ago and the two of them are inseparable. Mochi is sweet and cuddly and always finding new ways to get into trouble. Here are a few pictures of her! Thank you so much for all that you do and for bringing her to us. We love her more than words and she is a perfect addition to our family."
