Chacha (fka Vera)
Chacha (fka Vera) was adopted in July 2012 and recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Her family loved her so much and gave her such a wonderful life! "We adopted Chacha from ARWOB in July of 2012 and so we think she was about 13, but until this past week, she never acted her age. We all moved from San Diego to Portugal in 2014 and she loved it here. She loved hiking and going to the beach, digging for clams and chasing the foam from the surf, and delighted in scaring up a large flock of seagulls. She and her adopted brother, Buck, used to play and wrestle and they had a great time. He is looking for her everywhere. She was a love and our baby girl and we miss her so very much, but are grateful to you for saving her from the streets of Ensenada and for letting us have her in our family."

Paco
In loving memory of Paco. ARWOB sends our heartfelt condolences to Paco's family. May he run free in the meadow across the Rainbow Bridge. "Paco crossed the rainbow bridge early Easter Sunday morning (4/17/22). He had been in good health but suddenly started to feel unwell and progressed over about a week. Eventually he was admitted to the hospital and found to have a bleed to his carotid artery. They weren't really sure how it occurred. He had surgery and made it through but developed complications shortly after. I was able to be with him when he passed. Thank you so much for saving him and bringing him to me, though it was short, it was the happiest 4 years, 3 months and 12 days of my life. We had great adventures and he was the best boy. I will be making a donation in his honor."

Blossom

In loving memory of Blossom.  ARWOB sends our condolences to the Murphy family, who loved Blossom dearly and gave her a wonderful life.

"Blossom was almost 2 years old when she joined our family, on March 14, 2010. She had a gentle spirit and brought our family great joy over the past several years. It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to our loving Blossom yesterday afternoon. She was with us through good and bad times, through moves, and new babies, and was a loving and faithful companion to us and our children. We are grateful for the time we had with her, and I'm so glad to see that you are still rescuing animals and finding them forever homes. Thank you for finding our beautiful dog, and trusting us with her care all those years ago."

Elsie

In loving memory of Elsie.  She brought so much happiness to her adoptive mom and we are sorry to hear of her passing.  Run free at the Rainbow Bridge, sweet girl.

"This is Elsie, adopted in 2011...she would have been 8 this December. It’s with a heavy heart I share that she passed this October. She was truly my heart dog; we are crushed that she is gone. I will forever be thankful to ARWOB for rescuing her and bringing that joy into my life."

Lady
In Loving Memory of "Lady" aka Rosita. The ARWOB family sends its condolences to the Mahone family, Michelle and Michael. We are so sorry for your loss, we know you loved and cared for Lady from the beginning and always stood by her side through all her tough times. We all thought she was on her way to recovery and we all know you all did everything you possibly could have done for her. We are saddened by her loss. But knowing she left a loving family who was so happy to offer her 100% love when they were just getting to know her, we are thankful that this beautiful soul had the opportunity to know love and the safe haven of a family if only briefly. As a stray, this was something she never knew while struggling to survive on the streets. She had a rough start in life but ended her life surrounded by the love of a family... our thoughts are with the Mahone family during these hard times.
