To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Choco! Choco and her 4 puppies were rescued from a neighborhood in Loma Linda. A kind elderly lady took the family in after the owner was sent to jail and the dogs were left behind. She took Choco and her puppies into her patio and would feed them whatever she could.

We presume that Choco has been an outside dog most of her life. She has been in foster care since her rescue and has remained an outside dog, but has been using a crate with an open door so she can tend to her puppies in a clean/nice environment.

Choco has since come to stay with a new foster family as of April 22nd. Choco clearly enjoys being indoors and spending time with humans. In fact, she is coming out of her shell very quickly. At first she was uneasy about sleeping in her crate, but settled in fine to spend the night. Choco is a very sweet dog, who is gentle and submissive and has found her place in her foster family’s pack with no problems. She is not housebroken yet, but is learning quickly. She is somewhat scared of the leash, so she is learning that skill as well. Choco has a lot of love to give and would like nothing more than to find her forever home!
