Meet Clover and Shamrock!
Clover and Shamrock were relinquished by the same family. They lived in the car garage for awhile.
Clover is very sweet and gentle and seeks attention.
Shamrock is a striking grey tabby who is a bit of a scaredy cat and needs a gentle adopter. Younger children who have louder voicesand quick movements frighten him at this time and if there are chidren in the family, he may be best with those who are twelve or older and have experience with kitties. Most importantly, he needs people who are gentle with him and who make him feel comfortable and safe.
He is a little scared to be approached, but once you start petting him, he starts enjoying it. We are hoping now that he is with us our volunteers will help Shamrock shine. What he needs is an adopter who is patient and willing to give him plenty of time and affection so that he will feel safe and loved. He has been making great progress.
Clover was recently adopted, and now it is Shamrock's turn. He would be ok as an only cat, but, since he is shy, he might be more comfortable having another kitty at home to keep him company when you are not home. He appeared to be more comfortable when he was kept with Clover prior to her adoption. If you already have a mellow kitty who is not a strong alpha kitty and who would be gentle with Shamrock, that would be great, or if not, you might want to adopt a friend for him, as well.
